What an amazing ride! I set out to write a book as an offering, sharing amazing dreams, meditations, and visions experienced while studying with my meditation teacher. Simple, I thought: tell the stories, share how I contemplated these mystical gifts. Not so easy, I discovered: for the stories to help others, I had to reveal hard times as well as moments of intense gratitude. Seven years and many breakthroughs later, it was finished.

This small book recounts the inner and outer adventures that took place after I met the spiritual teachers of the Siddha tradition, including Gurumayi Chidvilasananda, whom many now know as the guru mentioned in Liz Gilbert's Eat Pray Love. Although Sacred Visitations spans 30 years of mystical events and contemplation, I have told only the parts of the story that others might find useful. May it serve its purpose!

Both Gurumayi and her guru, the Siddha master Baba Muktananda, said "I owe my life to my teacher." That's how I feel. To find out why, you really have to read the book!
